Visiting the memorials at night is a special experience and often less crowded.

This place makes me very emotional. It's a beautiful memorial to see sculpturally, and so heavy during Memorial Day where you can read letters to or about those lost, place flowers, and learn from a personal aspect about the war.

The Vietnam Wall is a humbling sight and one of the only avant-garde monuments in DC.
