Drive a scenic road to Snowbowl resort and 3/4 of the way up park at Aspen Corner parking lot and hike part of the AZ Trail into Harts Prairie. Enjoy wildflowers and lunch under the pines and aspens.

LOTS of aspen as the name would suggest but also a great jumping off point to hike the AZT towards Bismark Lake. The trail has a steep down to start but then is very moderate as it heads north. It's about 8 miles out and back passing through open meadows with sweeping views and aspen groves. Highly recommended in the fall months.
