Elsa was our guide and she was incredible! You can tell that she understands the history of Évora, Portugal, and the region very deeply, and had incredibly thoughtful responses to any questions we asked. She asked of our interests and our itinerary so that she could tailor the tour to hit some highlights and some hidden gems that we could come back to explore the following day. She was also kind enough to give us restaurant recommendations! We loved our time on the tour which we did as a first activity to get better acquainted with Évora before our free day and it was perfect for that. Thank you, Elsa!

Our time in Evora was limited and the temperature in the triple digits. It was a tricky time to tour around a city but we decided that we could manage it in the morning. I'm so glad we signed up for this tour! Elsa was a total pro: she has deep knowledge of the region's history, came up with a way for us to see all of the key sights while remaining as comfortable as possible in the heat, and was a great storyteller. She brought ancient sites to life. I highly recommend this tour as a way to get context for the main historical spaces in Evora and get a local's perspective on the place.
