Gilda was a marvelous host - warm, welcoming, congenial, and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and the general history of Buenas Aires.

The architecture of Palermo Chica is stunning. Amazingly detailed pre-war buildings set in lush vegetation. We transversed the city on bike lanes along grand and elegant boulevards and saw gorgeous parks, bustling shopping areas, and beautiful monuments. The rose garden in full bloom was the most spectacular site on the tour.

I was a bit taken back with admission charge to visit Recoleta Cemetery. I thought it would be free first off (who pays to go to a cemetery) then I would have expected the fee to have been included in the tour cost. They do take debit/credit card. I forgot to bring cash. I don’t recall being forewarned by Gilda about the fee beforehand but maybe she did and I missed it.

I highly recommend the tour as an intimate way to learn more about two special districts of BA and its people and culture.
