Go and see some wolves and wolf dogs. The guided experience teaches you all about the wolves, what they are doing to help them and you even get to go into the pen and feed them (children are not allowed to do this version of the tour).

The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary is a worthwhile visit in Cochrane. Be sure to book well in advance. You have the opportunity to come into direct contact with the animals.

This private Sanctuary is owned by people who saw a need for unwanted wolfdogs to have a place where they would be safe, loved, protected. I have been there twice and plan to go again. HIGHLY recommend including this on your list of places to see. They do not allow drop in visits to lessen the stress on the animals. Visit their website to book.
