My fav place in Madrid and a real local experience. Go there for a drink /aperitivo and try out one of the many food stalls (check out opening times)! The arepas one is great!

On Sunday you go here for a glass of vermouth, and to watch a mixed group of people dance flamenco or salsa! Always fun!

It used to be Lavapies' food market, and it still has some food shops where you can good quality fresh food. But it holds more than ten small pubs, restaurants and wine shops very cheap and suitable to share food with friends. Unfortunately it closes early, at 20:00, except for Fridays, when it's open til 23:00. A really good place to taste different kinds of foods, wine and beer.
