Less than hour from Denver and plenty of trails and views. Hiking and biking. Stop at Bucksnort Saloon (I’ll add to guidebook under food) for old western dive bar right in the mtns.

Kid and pet friendly hikes. Beautiful rock outcroppings. Also, lots of old interesting medical buildings which were used by Dr. Staunton in the early 1900’s.
