If you’re looking for a Mexican food fix, this is by far the best option on the island. They have all the tex-mex classics, and also have some great Mexican seafood options. This place is cash only and can get very busy, so be prepared to wait.

Going to La Playa is 100% necessary while in the Port Aransas area. Without a doubt every locals favorite, you will find original mexican dishes as well as gourmet seafood spins on all the classics; the crab enchiladas are a must! Wait staff freshly makes flawless guacamole directly as you order it right in front of your table, and be sure to get yourself a delicious grande margarita while you're there! Located: 222 Beach Ave.
