Fishtown, in Leland is a must-see during your visit!

This is a historic fishing village. The village cheese shanty has sandwiches on pretzel bread. The Cove Restaurant has a deck that over looks the falls.

We highly recommend taking a day to your Leelanau and especially this historic fishing village. Bonus: call in your lunch order to The Cheese Shanty for the best sandwiches!

After your hike at Houdek Dunes, spend the remainder of the afternoon shopping in Leland. Leave Fishtown for another day. Leland has many great shops and galleries to explore.

"fish town" Leland. old fish town on lake Michigan. At lunch time you got to get a sandwich from the village cheese shanty.
