The Bitter Alibi
Variety of great food at good prices and an extensive beer, wine, & cocktail list. Chill spot for groups or couples.
This is one of my personal favorites in Chattanooga. It is a 3 story bar that features a "beer / sports bar" feel in the basement, the middle story feels like a small cafe/ diner (and boy do they serve delicious food), and the top story is a cocktail bar! All 3 floors are connected with a spiral…
At the edge of the UTC campus downtown Chatt. OMG--AMAZING breakfast. A cozy place but worth whatever the weekend wait to get in. Of course, they are open for other meals and drinks as well (2 a.m. on the weekends).
This is a well-loved favorite among locals. Treat yourself to the signature Bang Bang Coconut Curry, Pepps In Your Steps Burger, or the Bánh Mì Tacos with chili aioli, cilantro, lime and fresh jalapeños.
“Another local favorite in the Southside district, between St. Elmo and downtown. Their food and drink menu is worth the visit! They also have a great patio area for when the weather is nice.”
“(On the southside) One of the original local social spots next to St. John’s restaurant ”
“Play some pool, throw some darts, or maybe just relax with an honest pint and enjoy being among friends.”
“So I don't usually indulge in fried chicken because, well... it's fried food. But after hearing about how good Champy's was and seeing the place packed with people every time I drove past, I decided to give it a try. Glad I did! Best friend chicken I've ever had. I couldn't even leave the skin, it tasted so delicious. Sides are delicious, too. I don't go too often, but when I want to treat myself and indulge a little, Champy's is at the top of the list!”
