Bus #5 picks up along Chartres Street and goes to Canal Street and back. There is a stop at Luisa Street.

SEAFOOD - Crawfish is truly the star of the menu at this casual French Quarter cafe. Unique and delicious crawfish cakes, rich crawfish pasta, fried crawfish tails and, of course, perfectly-executed etouffee make this spot popular with tourists and locals alike. Additionally, the peaceful wraparound balcony is an ideal spot to people watch while sipping one of Chartres House's local brews or rave-worthy Cajun Bloody Marys.

Depending on which side of Jackson Square you are on, determines what is available. Chartres Street is lined with historic sites, restaurants, bars and boutiques with beautiful 18 and 19 century buildings. Either way, Chartres is a great street to explore heading West you will end up in the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans (Faubourg Marigny) or, going East, you will end up on Canal St. Both ways are great and you will be pleased you walked this street. Some of my favorite points of interest on Chartres is the Pharmacy Museum and Muriel's! Don't miss the Sunday Jazz Brunch! 10-30- 2PM. Try the milk punch!
