With an onsite playground and shallow waters, Shelly Bay is a nearby retreat for you and the kids. It is easily accessed by bus and is also under a 2-mile walk via the railway trail.

A stretch of beach on the North Shore of the Island, ideal for families with small children - you can walk at least 50 feet from the shore before the water comes up to your waist. There is a playground adjoining.

Shelly Bay is a nice family type beach, with a long gentle slope into the ocean. concessions may be on hand , but we recommend carrying your own food and drinks etc..just in case.

This is a shallow beach perfect for toddlers. It is where I swam growing up as a child, and where I took my little boys.
