Fantastic ski area, also connected to the Naeba resort, so you can buy tickets for access to both. Take the highway from Minakami Interchange towards Niigata, turn off at Yuzawa. Takes only 25mins.

Like Naeba, The Tashiro Station Gondola (at Kagura) connects at the top to the Kagura Mitsumata Gondola. Tashiro is more family friendly in terms of nice easy rolling mountains.
