Summit Ski Area
Summit Ski Area was established in 1927, and is the second oldest continuously operating ski area in the United States. Summit’s base elevation is 4,000 ft. and has 306 ft. of vertical lift for skiing and snowboarding. Summit Ski Area caters to families and novices. Summit also offers snow tubing.
All summer the Summit Ski Area offers Traeger smoked chicken and Mt. Hood Brewing beers. It’s also dog friendly.
You can ski and sled here. All snow areas require a Sno-Park permit during winter season. You'll probably also need 4-wheel drive and chains.
Summit is a good ski area for beginners and kids, plus is has some thrilling tubing. Located at the east end of Government Camp and takes only 20 minutes to get there.
