A The Black is an iconic personification of OB open for over 40 years. It has a jewelry department, clothing, candles, incense, housewares, a music department with some of the best cards books in SD!

The Black has been in OB since 1969 and not much has changed in the shop since then. An original Jimmy Hendrix poster as well as one of Johnny Cash still hang in the store. True OB gifts are their fare. Don't go in if you are easy offended.

Want to go back in time? The Black is a classic 60s/70s head shop. Don't know what a head shop is? Think: Mecca for Cheech and Chong. Stop by when down in OB and take in the smells and sights.
