Enjoy the magnificent views and consider walking over to Leigh Woods and the leafy surrounding suburb. if you have younger children there is a great playground next to the bridge. For coffee enjoy Chapter and Holmes on the bridge.

Walk up to the village and past the shops to find the famous suspension bridge. There are some like walks which can be started from the bridge as you can access the clifton downs here, or if you go over the bridge you can get to Ashton court grounds.

In Clifton village, (nr Suspension Bridge) There is a whole realm of boutiques & cafes for you to wander around. The Ivy is great for an afternoon tea or the Giggling Squid is an amazing fish restaurant. The bridge, Observatory and the Downs are all great to explore too. Ashton Court and Leigh Woods are close by too. Regent Street you have one of my favourite Tapas restaurants called Bar44....worth looking at bookings for Poco and the locals.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Avon Gorge and the River Avon, linking Clifton in Bristol to Leigh Woods in North Somerset.  In 2010, newly discovered letters and documents revealed that, in producing his design, Brunel had taken advice from his father, Sir Marc Isambard Brunel. The elder Brunel had recommended including a central support for the bridge, as he did not believe a single-span bridge of such length could be constructed. His son chose to ignore his advice! The bridge is a distinctive landmark, used as a symbol of Bristol on postcards, promotional materials, and informational web sites. It has been used as a backdrop to several films and television advertising and programmes. It has also been the venue for significant cultural events such as the first modern bungee jump in 1979, the last Concorde flight in 2003 and a handover of the Olympic Torch relay in 2012.
