Always something to do there. Level 4 Cafe makes the best coffee but the food is expensive

You could spend days viewing all of the exhibits in Te Papa. Worth checking out. Entry is free too.

Modern interactive museum with many interesting exhibits of NZ wildlife, history, art and culture, as well as Pacific displays and International art exhibitions. Free entry but pay for art gallery exhibitions and some activities.

A great all round collection telling NZ stories, in a modern building with lots to keep all the family busy.

“Touristy but fun! Takes you from Lambton Quay (a good shopping street) up to the top of the Botanic Gardens, great views and you can walk back down stopping at the Rose Garden for a bite to eat on the way.”

“This full supermarket is often referred to as New World Chaffers Street, even though its official address is Wakefield Street! New World Chaffers Street is about 9-10 minutes walk from City Bach. This modern, vibrant supermarket has anything you could wish for whether to feed a family, entertain, go on a picnic, or just simply self-catering if you're visiting Wellington. The delicatessen section is a winner. The food always looks to delicious. They usually give samples to try before you buy.”
