Lake Skadar lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro and it is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. As one of the largest bird reserves in Europe it has 270 bird species, including pelicans.

Lake Skadar NP encloses one of Europe’s largest lakes, home of rare birds and stunning misty views, south of Kotor. It is possible to hire a small boat at Virpazar for exploring or bird watching. There is an amazing view to be had from the Panorama restaurant near Rijeka Crnovica. Make this a full day trip to enjoy.
