The Texas State History Museum is a really impressive place even if you don't think Texas history is your thing! It also houses an IMAX theatre showing a mix of films including blockbusters and 3D.
An impressive museum and fun for kids and adults. So much cool information and really a sight to see!
Lots of Texas packed into this facility. Downtown Austin. Pair this trip with a visit to the State Capital.

Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”
