You can walk along the canal via towpath from Stroud to Chalford and have a cup of tea and cake at the bakehouse when you arrive! Great way to get a sense of Stroud's past history, and Chalford is a delightful village.

Serving cakes, and patisserie, wines and beers. A local favourite about a 20 minute drive on the A419 a couple of miles out of Stroud towards Cirencester. www.lavenderbakehouse.co.uk
