If you're keen to drive two hours, check out the last stretch of the Juan de Fuca trail, Botanical Beach. After seeing the tide pools, wander into the town of Port Renfrew for lunch at the pub!

Lava rock caves and pools. Very cool place to check out. Not only the ocean but the little sea creatures that live within it. A lot of the smaller pools hold little bio diverse ecosystems within. Fun to see and learn about!

The tidepools are extraordinary, check your tide charts.
“So Amazing! This is a rocky beach on the west side of the island. It has an endless beach to walk and find treasures. Go to the waterfall naturally cut into the sandstone and take a dip. Or have a swing on the rope. The kids will enjoy playing here. Down the road is French Beach which is amazing as well and has a playground with picnic tables.”
