Go to the end of the Pier it is FREE! Fantastic views of all the ships and San Francisco Bay. Pay a small fee and go aboard these vessels and imagine sailing one 125 years ago with no way to Call Home

You can go on board several historical ships, including the 1886 Balclutha clipper ship, a walking-beam ferry, a steam tug, and a coastal schooner. Learn about physics with their pulley system demo!

Check out the Hyde pier - they have $5 passes that would let you board historic ship - including the self-guided tour of the main red pirate ship you can see from the window - took me a year to discover it - it's pretty cool, you climb into the ship and discover the set inside.

This collection of historic vessels, part of the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park, is impressive. Most of the ships, including the 250-foot long 1886 Balclutha, can be boarded.

While you can walk the pier for free, for a small admission they often allow you to explore the historic boats moored here.
