For a really fun shopping experience stop in Serendipity by the Sea in Marion. Fun, ocean inspired treasures are sure to be found at this cute boutique in one of our favorite nearby towns.

“Uncle Jon's has always been the go-to place for coffee, muffins, quiche, whatever. Over the years, if we checked in to the cottage late at night and didn't have time to hit the grocery store, one of us would make the short trip to Uncle Jon's the next morning and bring back breakfast for everyone. Definitely order the cranberry muffins if they have them. We also grab a quick breakfast on our way back to the airport after our vacation is over. ”

“The nature preserve is gorgeous. Take a walk or bring your mountain bike. The beaches are quiet, secluded, and full of wildlife. Great fishing at the point on the northern tip of the island. ”
