Ax 3 Domaines is a winter sports resort in the Ax-les-Thermes (famous for its thermal baths), in Ariège. It's just over an hour away from Chez Montagnes. Since 2001, the climb to the ski station has been used as a stage finish in the Tour de France.

There is a pleasant drive to reach Ax of about 50 minutes along the Ariege valley and once there you can catch the gondola up to the ski station, Bonascre; explore the pretty town with it's street cafes and thermal water springs or pay to enjoy the thermal spa baths.
