When you take a look around on the square in front of the city hall you will see a lot of medieval guild houses. On the ground floor of these houses you can find all kind of restaurants.

Built in Renaissance style, from 1561 to 1564, the architect was Cornelius Floris de Vriendt. The building is covered with colourful flags, representing most countries in the world.
