Always have great exhibits and it has amazing views of the waterfront and Charleston harbor! And its FREE!

Beautiful Gallery overlooking the waterfront. Free. Little or no outside signage study the photo. Gallery talks and receptions. Did I mention free and bathrooms. Accessible with elevators.

Why we love it: Located steps from The Vendue (next to the pineapple fountain!), The City Gallery is owned by the City of Charleston and operated by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs. It is a tangible resource and reliable venue for displaying the finest contemporary art from local, regional, national and international artists, stimulating discussion and dialogue among audiences. In the process, in this dynamic visual arts venue, those who visit the City Gallery will be educated, enlightened and inspired by their experiences in this cultural space. Bonus: FREE admission!
