Famous bbq. I used to live next door, there’s always a huge line so get here early. It’s that good.
An Austin staple and award-winning BBQ. Most people make a day out of eating at the restaurant by "tailgating" starting at 8am. My friends and I have done this before by bringing chairs, tacos, and mimosas. BBQ is served until sold out, usually by 3pm. They will go through the line and put a sign up…
Be prepared to wait. You’re allowed to bring beer and wine to drink in line, id also bring some light folding chairs. It’s like tailgating but for BBQ. Absolutely world famous. Last 3 presidents all ate here (no line for them though). People have been known to wait for 3-4 hours.
The best Brisket in the world. Insider tip: you can order online for a pick-up as well (instead of queuing for hours). It is worth it but if you are overwhelmed by the line - try LA Barbecue. Relatively close by Franklin's, less busy, and definitely one of the best briskets you can find.
“ 4.2 miles. A half-dozen salads, robust ratatouille and warming pasta make for a nice vegetarian selection at this bistro that nods to French cuisine.”
“Farm to table eclectic cuisine - great for breakfast / brunch / lunch / dinner ”
“Must visit if you're trying to go out on the town for some 2 steppin' while downtown. They have a backwards 2 step going on here though... My favorite is Mavericks in Buda.”
“Offbeat toppings, plus Chicago-style & gluten-free pies, keep this pizza chain outpost hopping.”
