indescrivibile... così bello! wonderful to discover this place so remote in a valley so full of history: rich, poor and exciting: a human ecosystem. All of it nestled in a very varied and dramatic nature. Have lunch at rifugio Salei.... and be surprised by the tastes of nature that will be suggested to you

From Vergeletto, in the Zott area and close to the Arena Forest Reserve, a modern 4-seat per cabin cable car will take you to Alpe Salei in only 7 minutes at 1783m. From here, beside the welcoming hut, you can easily access a limpid alpine lake (just a 20-minute walk away), some of the surrounding mountain tops that offer a breathtaking panoramic view (the Pilone, between the Onsernone Valley and the Valley of Vergeletto), as well as the hills and villages of Comologno and Spruga (at about 1h30 walk away).
