Listen. Kansas City is known for its BBQ, but Fox and Pearl is emblematic of Kansas City dining at its best: It's 99% locally sourced menu (the only non local item is the foie gras, it's from NY). It's meat-heavy and pretty much everything touches fire via the open hearth kitchen located in the dining room. Gorgeous space, with a fairytale patio. Opened in June/July 2019 and one of the best new restaurants in the city. Go for a snack and a drink or go for a big ol' dinner. Just go.
