Dividing Sharp Park from the next community to the south is an 18-hole public golf course, often referred to as "the poor man's Pebble Beach." The course was designed by noted golf architect Alexander McKenzie and landscaped by Golden Gate Park's John McLaren.
Sharp Park neighborhood is the oldest community in the city of Pacifica. A one-mile beach promenade and fishing pier are the favorite among locals. Palmetto Avenue offers unique local cafes and shops for those who like to stroll and snack.
2 minute car ride to Sharp Park GOLF COURSE. A historic seaside links, designed by the preeminent architect Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National (home of the Masters Tournament), Cypress Point, and many of the world’s most esteemed courses. Sharp Park is one of MacKenzie’s rare public links.
Great hike - walk up the stairs at the end of sharp Park trail and see fabulous views. If you are lucky it will be whale season, pack a picnic and enjoy! The golf course at Sharp Park (along the ocean) was designed by the preeminent architect Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National - the course is also home to the Gartner Snake and California Red-Legged Frog so the environmental practices are good - however the fairways and greens are a bit dumpy. :)
