An outpost of RBGE, this arboretum is in a beautiful setting very close to the Tweed. Look out for the blue Himalayan poppies (Meconopsis) in the spring. Plenty of parking next to its entrance building which includes a good cafe and bookshop. We have been visiting since entry was via an honesty box in a hedge and still find new things here.

A spectacular arboretum, maintained by the Royal Botanic Gardens with wonderful plants to buy beside the cafe.
