The chef/owner of this newish close-by Japanese/Sushi restaurant was the renowned Sushi chef of an iconic Sushi restaurant with months long waits. Interesting menu and dining indoors or on a patio.

Finally we have good sushi in La Jolla! Reservations are very recommended but you can walk in on off hours. Clean, quality fish!

Some of the sushi chefs at Himitsu were once apprentices of those at Sushi Ota according to what we've heard. They've done a spectacular job at mastering their profession as well. Himitsu is a great contender for our good sushi in San Diego. Reservations recommended.
