The Faisal Mosque is a national mouque of Pakistan, located in capital Islamabad. It is the 6th largest mosque in the world and the largest within South Asia, located on the foothills of Margalla Hills in Pakistan's capital city of Islamabad. The mosque features a contemporary design consisting of eight sides of concrete shell.
Situated in the foot hills of the Margalla Hills, Shah Faisal Mosque holds the record of being one of the largest Mosques in the world. Its total area is 46.87 Acres and the inner hall of Mosque is 1.9 Acres. A total of 3 lakh people can offer prayer at a time. The design of the Mosque was made by the famous architect Vedit Delow. Faisal Mosque is conceived as the National Mosque of Pakistan. The mosque represents a perfect blend of ultramodern and traditional Turkish architectural design. It has four 88m beautiful minarets and there floor are created with world best marble. Inside, the ceiling rise to 40m and the air hums with soft recitations
