Recently voted ‘Best Neighbourhood in UK & Ireland’ by the Academy of Urbanism, ultimate hipster hang-out, Glasgow’s West End, with its exquisite sandstone villas and leafy avenues is the perfect place to shop and people-watch. Renowned for its selection of vintage stores including Vintage Guru, Starry Starry Night and Retro, the West End also offers a variety of designer and bespoke shops including W2, Timorous Beasties and Nancy Smillie. After working up an appetite why not explore the variety of unique cheesemongers, fishmongers and delis including George Mews, Bernard Corrigan and Delizique. The West End Festival runs in June.
