Commonly known as "Pirates" is just a 10 minute beach walk away. Little colorful kiosks for refreshments, a fish shop with freshest fish caught by the local fishermen, local restaurant with typical coastal food, outdoor food stalls sampling Swahili snacks like deep-fried cassava, viazi karai (deep-fried potato pieces dipped in dough, accompanied by home made chili and tamarind sauce) and other coastal delicacies. Little roadside shops offer a variety of items. Sunday the locals from the surrounding villages storm the beach, enjoying themselves. Come and see

One of the beaches to visit in Mombasa, though it can get crowded. It is just 15min away by car.

Perhaps the most popular beach at the Coast. Suitable for morning and evening jogs, ocean swim, boat rides, dining in the restaurants and occasional beach parties.
