Whether you are from the flats or accustom to climbing, Asheville has many roads and routes to choose from. Some of the most popular climbs in the area will eventually take you to the Blue Ridge Parkway, an All-American Road that is noted for its scenic beauty. Town Mountain Road, Elk Mountain Road, HWY 151, and Ox Creek Road are all some monumental 20-30 minute climbs to reach the 'Parkway.' Mount Mitchell, Mount Pisgah, and Grandfather Mountain are all areas of the Parkway worth the ride! If you need to relax the legs from some climbing, Riverside Drive is an amazing 20 mile out and 20 mile back road. Riverside Drive will take you to the town of Marshall, which is parallel to the French Broad River.
