The 'GRAB' phone app is my recommended way of getting a taxi, but will require a smartphone with a data connection. The price is shown before you book. You can see where the driver is as he drives to you. The only downside is that drivers sometimes try to promote events or services for an extra income. Just politely so 'no thank you'. You can rate each journey and driver at the end of the trip.
