The Historic Center- Castelsardo is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Sardinia and Italy. Founded in 1270 by the Genoese Doria family, it has a very ancient history. Conquered in 1400 by the Spanish, it was baptized Castellaragonese and for about 300 years it belonged to the kingdom of Spain. From 1720 it was reconquered from Italy by the Savoy family, definitively becoming Castelsardo in 1102 by the Genoese Doria family. it is difficult to find such beautiful villages.
