魏功甘古城(Wiang Kum Kam)是近些年才被发掘的古代遗址，修建于1286年曼格莱国王在位时的古城。由明莱王(Phaya Mengrai)于佛历1829年(公元1286年)下令兴建，四面有护城河，引宝河水注入。魏功甘城是兰纳王朝(Lann Thai)的第一个首都。但它做为首都的时间并不长，因为连年水患而迫使明莱王不得不迁都至地理位置更佳的清迈，但在明莱王统治期间，位于国界边境的功甘城仍然佔有重要的地位。古城里和四周有20种古代遗迹，包括建筑和寺庙，这些遗迹溯源于21-22佛教世纪。

古清迈遗址-大佛-白塔-清迈未曾遗落的文明。这是一座最近才被发现的古城。这里有很多古庙和工艺品。现在还没有出名，所以赶快趁着大批游客到来之前来这里玩吧。你可以坐马车或者坐观光大巴在这古城里参观。

Wiang Kum Kam is an historic settlement and archaeological site along the Ping River, which was built by King Mangrai as his capital before he moved it to Chiang Mai. It was flooded and abandoned more than 700 years ago; that move became more understandable in 2005, when the ancient city was flooded three separate times as the river overflowed its banks in that area of Chiang Mai.
