Looking Glass Falls
This is an easy walk with a great waterfall view. It is located basically just off the road. If you want to see a beautiful waterfall without having to hike, this is it!
Easy access off 276 just into the Pisgah Forest. Also check out the Forestry Service attractions. This is where the U.S. Forestry Service originated!
Breath taking, easily accessible waterfall. To visit the waterfall it only takes a few flights of steps down. Due to this convenience, it is one of the more crowded sites. Good for those not comfortable with long hikes. GREAT spot for photos.
Roadside waterfall in Pisgah National Forest. Also nearby are Moore Cove Falls and Sliding Rock.
Looking Glass waterfall is a beautiful sight and has a great swimming hole to enjoy during hot weather.
“Located in the Pisgah National Forest just north of Brevard. 7.6 miles from the junction of US Highways 64 and 276, is Sliding Rock, one place where you’re invited to take the plunge down a 50-foot slippery cascade into the 50-60 degree, 7-foot deep pool. There are 2 observation platforms, and lifeguards on duty during the season. This is a heavily used recreation area, so it’s suggested you come early. It’s suggested, too, that you wear old shorts and old sneakers if you choose to take the plunge. Nominal admission charge for sliders but no cost to watch. Lifeguards on duty in season.”
“Brunch, lunch, and dinner right in downtown with live music on the weekends. Great atmosphere for a night out. ”
“Fast and delicious with a wide variety toppings for salads, burritos or tacos! ”
“Chill scene with amazing beer. I love the Munich Dunkel! Best Mexican food in Brevard next door at Maya's Grill.”
