Did you know that Valencia is the home of paella and they even grow their own paella rice. Take a trip to Albufera and walk through the rice paddies, spot the herons, snowy egrets and frogs. Enjoy a boat ride on the stunning, peaceful lake and enjoy paella cooked on traditional wood fires so typical of the region

Day 3 albufera y bioparc In the morning, escape to the Albufera de València, an authentic ecological paradise just 10 kilometers from the city. You can take a walk in one of the typical fishing boats, and taste the Valencian paella in its authentic place of origin. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the African savanna through Bioparc València. If you visit in summer, the park is open until 9 pm and in winter until 6 pm.

Albufera is a shalow lake connected to the sea. Its an essential part of valencian history, protected as a natural habitat of many migratory birds. I recommend a visit just before the sunset, because the calm water reflects the sun just like a mirror. for aproximately 4 euros/person you can join to a guided visit with a motorboat. Then you can taste the local food in one of the El Palmar-s restaurants. They have to fame of representing the authentic valencian gastronomy.
