if you would like to check out some local charms with authentic little cafe's or do some shopping for fruit and veg at a bargain price you should definitely check out the market. it's only a short 5 minute walk from the property. There is also lots of different types of food such Italian, Greek, Eitrean, great Falafel. There is also an amazing juice bar called Osman's Juice Bar - Osman is from Turkey - all the locals love him...he's even made it into The financial Times magazineand some local papers. He does a range of juices included tropic fruits, green juice and even sugar can juice. I also go for a turmeric and ginger shot first thing in the morning! literally come out of the flat, turn right, walk all the way to the end of the road and then turn right onto Hopgood Street...walk down and then turn right again and the market is just across the road.
