Croatian School Museum was officially opened on 19 August 1901 . The main task of the institution is to systematically collect, study and exhibit past and present of Croatian education and pedagogy . The museum holds collections of teaching aids , teaching materials and school equipment, students and teachers , art works , books and manuals , school regulations , archive , collection of photos and documents on education . The Museum is also Davorin Trstenjak Pedagogical library . On World Teachers' Day , 5 October 2000 , the Croatian School Museum opened its permanent exhibition on approximately 450 m2 . The exhibition features about 1,000 items, mostly original , from the mid-19th or early 20th century .

Croatian School Museum -The Square of the Republic of Croatia no. 4/I -The Croatian Teaching and Literary Union founded the Croatian Schools Museum in 1901. It is located in the building of the Croatian Teacher's House.
