Nice walk down Charles Street will take you here. Occasional events. Seating in park. Beautiful churches and Peabody Library nearby as well as other restaurants and shops.

Baltimore’s Monument to Washington is older than the one in DC! This is also a BEAUTIFUL neighborhood to walk around. There are tours of the monument itself if you like history!

Mt. Vernon is an iconic historical neighborhood largely in part to the first monument to pay tribute to George Washington. If you're coming to the neighborhood. It's worth touring the grounds. The parks surrounding the monument were designed by the same first that designed Central Park and the parks from the Chicago's World Fair.
