Bon Tempe Lake and surrounding lakes are part of the Marin Municipal Water District Open Space. It is a very large area with endless hiking trails. Sky Oaks entrance is less than 10 minute drive above Fairfax. Birth place of Mountain Biking there are miles and miles of trails to explore.

The walk around this beautiful watershed lake is one of the many outdoor gifts of our area. Be sure to leave the Alpine lake area before sundown because park rangers lock the gate.

There is a 4 mile loop around this beautiful lake for hiking or trail running! Be sure to pay the $9 fee at the machines on the way in…
