Ubud Art Marker is a hits spot to find handmade rattan bags, beautiful silk scarves, light shirts, statues, kites, baskets or hats and many other handicraft items. Local people know as Ubud Art Market, located opposite the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace and open every day. Most items found at Ubud Market are made in the neighbouring villages of Pengosekan, Tegallalang, Payangan and Peliatan. The location of the Ubud Art Market, which is centered between art-producing villages and in the centre of Ubud itself, makes it a strategic shopping place for Balinese crafts and souvenirs. The Ubud market was very hit, once a backdrop for the Hollywood film Eat Pray Love, which showed scenes with actress Julia Roberts in the presence of a male character walking around the stalls frequented by foreign and local visitors in real life. If you enter the Ubud market bargaining is important.
