Referred to as "The Mount" it is a beautiful coastal resort town, famous for its surfing and walks on the beach. If you are very fit and feel up to it, you can walk up to the top of The Mount, it takes about 40 minutes.

Great swimming beach. Safe and patrolled. Visit Leisure to the end of the main beach and walk around.

A walk up the Mount is a must do while visiting the Bay of Plenty! A good hike, followed by great views, and a huge selection of cafes at the base.

This beach stretches all along the coast. The most popular place to swim is right up by the surf club between lesiure island and the mountain but there is gorgeous water and sand all along the coast.

It's a great beach for swimming sunbathing, watching annual events such as Beach Volleyball, Surf life saving comps, triathlon and swimming events. great eateries across the road, fabulous Monte Carlo Icecream shop
