Just a 5 - 10 minute walk to the end of Leisure Island. When the surf is big the blow-holes can be impressive. When I was young there was a waterslide complex on the island (disbanded many years ago) - hence it still being referred to locally as Leisure Island.

An easy walk out from the ocean beach to Moturiki. At high tide the Blow hole works with sometimes spectacular spray. The island is a nesting habitat for little blue penguins. Great views back to the Main Beach and down the coast. Approximately 5-8 minutes walk from here.

Moturiki Island or the Blow hole as we call it is an easy walk for family with children as it very easy but offers amazing views of the Mount and Papamoa beach.
