The wine monopoly is the only place you can buy liquors and spirits above 4,5% alcohol. Open until 18 Mon - Fri, until 15 on Saturdays, closed on Sundays.

Liquor, wine, strong beers and ciders (i.e. anything stronger than 4.7%), is sold through the state-run Vinmonopolet shops. The monopoly shops generally close at 6 PM on weekdays and 3 PM on Saturdays.

In Norway you may only buy beer in the grocery stores. To buy wine and other alcohols to bring home, you need to go to Vinmonopolet.
