This is a little secret. Brixton prison has a fine dinning restaurant, where they educate and train prisoners on how to cook, serve and learn a new craft. The clink is their renowned restaurant. It is only open during the day and you must book early. It is worth the experience.

Visit The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton – a dining experience delivering change, staffed by prisoners working towards City & Guilds NVQs in Food Preparation, Food Service and Customer Service, leading to employment in the UK hospitality industry upon release. The inmates serve you in the old governor’s house dating back to 1819, located within the prison, and some precautions have been taken, for instance it is alcohol free and plastic cutlery is used.
